4th place: I was the 17-year-old guru in my family and got a “job” to create an accounting program for relatives’ business. Since I didn’t know what is DB and I already knew that MS Access sucks, I decided to create my own program completely from scratch on DarkBasic. The self-made visualizations of simple tables were mad. Luckily, my father one day formatted all disks and the code was lost. I probably never have been angrier. Only a while later I understood how bad my engineer’s decisions were.
