26th DevOps & AI Latvia meetup on June 3rd

Join Latvia DevOps & AI Communities 26th event on June 3rd at Workland.
Doors open at 18:30, talks start at 19:00.

This time we will have speakers – Stefan Dayneko and Manuel Schuller

Stefan Dayneko. With over seven years of experience in Data Science and Computer Vision, Stefan contributes to diverse Artificial Intelligence projects, leveraging machine learning and deep learning techniques to design, test, and optimize models. Beyond his professional work, he is passionate about teaching and have been invited to deliver guest lectures at companies like MSC, sharing AI knowledge with professionals and students alike.

This talk explores the evolution of AI from early theoretical concepts to modern-day applications. It covers Alan Turing’s foundational ideas, the shift from symbolic AI to machine learning, key milestones like neural networks and deep learning, and the rise of generative AI. The session will highlight how AI transitioned from theoretical problem-solving to practical tools like ChatGPT, shaping industries and daily interactions.

Manuel Schuller is a senior DevSecOps evangelist, with a 25+ years international experience on both Dev and Ops solutions. Loving the terms “DevOps-ifier” and “DevOps-ologist”, with an extensive knowledge of both technologies and markets, he helps people practice CI and CD principles in real world organizations, and achieve results in big DevOps transition projects. When he’s not doing DevOps, he is a member of the BIEN (Basic Income European Network), and a registered supporter of the Italian CDTI (Club Dirigenti Tecnologie dell’Informazione) and SiFPA (Simple Function Point Association, now in IFPUG).

His talk will focus on using Gitops and CDevents in DevSecOps release orchestration pipeline, to make sure that Every Software release automatically complies with Control Standards. In this session:

  • Implementing DevOps processes, made possible through a set of tools to ensure that every piece of software released into production complies with the required level of control.
  • How this level of control is defined not by the projects, but by transverse teams who make sure all controls are compliant with the state of the art.
  • How these controls become company-wide best practices, so that these transverse groups are meant to disappear after the Culture and Best Practices are disseminated within the organization.

We will also have two Lightning Talks by:

Eduard Ruzga, Staff Engineer from Prezi with ‘Model Context Protocols: LLMs are only as useful as tools they use’

Renārs Jansons, CUBE CEO with  ‘The Power of Workshops in the Discovery Phase: How to Shape Better IT Projects’
