On March 25th, the Latvia DevOps & AI Community came together for its 25th event at Workland Telegraph, with support from our amazing sponsors: Arvato Systems, Dati Group, and Workland.
As always, the evening began with networking and good vibes as attendees gathered from 18:30, followed by insightful and thought-provoking talks starting at 19:00.
We were excited to welcome two incredible speakers to the stage:
Guntis Čoders, CEO & Co-founder of THEO and a former Forbes 30under30 in Latvia, kicked things off with a compelling talk on why consolidated, well-structured context outperforms scattered information when working with AI tools. Drawing from his 14+ years in the startup and AI space, Guntis demonstrated that sometimes the real power lies not in newer tech, but in how we organize our knowledge to help AI work more effectively.
Following that, Gints Klavins, Systems Architect at DatiGroup, gave us an insightful look into the IPCEI CIS project – an ambitious initiative aiming to build Europe’s next-generation cloud infrastructure. Gints broke down the project’s vision of a Multi-Provider Cloud-Edge Continuum, highlighting its goal of enhancing digital sovereignty in Europe and increasing interoperability and scalability in a space currently dominated by non-European tech giants.
We also had a fantastic lightning talk by Aleksandra Čudova titled “Expectations vs Reality in AI Recruitment”. Aleksandra shared her firsthand experience in introducing AI to the recruitment process – what actually works, the limitations of current tools, and how companies can realistically adopt AI in hiring today.
